The course is designed as a profound introduction to the European Union. Hence, both students without prior knowledge on the EU as well as students that regularly read news about the EU will benefit of the summer academy. Though we recommend this summer academy especially to B.A. students from different academic disciplines, we also invite M.A. students to enrol for our summer academy in order to ensure peer-based learning among a diverse group of different academic backgrounds, study levels and nationalities.
Students with different academic backgrounds and a general interest in European integration will benefit from each other in an intercultural and interdisciplinary learning process. Former classes consisted of regular students of political science, law, communications studies, intercultural communication and related disciplines as well as practitioners such as civil servants, communication experts and even young politicians.
Lectures, presentations and examinations will be held in English. Knowledge of German is not required.
